Kues' Fatal Concessions

In a recent article, Kues states that "carriers of epidemic diseases" constituted one of the "categories of Jews that the German authorities certainly did not want to have resettled in the east". Kues makes a fatal error in failing to realize how those categories were defined by the Nazis to be as wide and inclusive as possible. In his diary entry of 7th August, 1941, Goebbels had written:

The Jews have always been carriers of infectious diseases. They must either be cooped up in a ghetto and left to themselves, or liquidated (liquidieren); otherwise they will always infect the healthy population of the civilized nations.

By 27th March 1942, Goebbels had escalated this thinking:

It is a struggle for life and death between the Aryan race and the Jewish bacillus.

Kues is therefore sliding down the slippery slope that must logically lead eventually to an acceptance that the Nazis abandoned resettlement partially because they regarded all Jews as carriers of disease, and eventually as an embodiment of disease itself.

Thomas Kues' reaction to my previous blog is characteristic of the fellow – he again picked out one of the several arguments I made (or better, what he would like to read into one of my arguments), made a big fuss about it, and simply ignored the rest of my arguments.

So let's have some more fun with Mr. Kues, shall we?

"Revisionist" coryphée Thomas Kues seems to have given up trying to ignore the criticism that this blog site’s contributors have sent his way^[1], for in his latest production ^[2] he responded to one of the arguments (just one) presented in two of my previous blogs^[3]

Maybe I hit a raw nerve with the last of these blogs. Maybe Kues realized that his deafening silence was sapping his credibility even among followers of the "Revisionist" faith (the only realm where he has any). Or maybe other "Revisionists" prodded him into finally responding to this nasty Muehlenkamp fellow. The latter is suggested by the fact that, the day after I published the aforementioned blog, I received a c.c. of an e-mail message sent by Kues’ fellow propagandist Jürgen Graf, which had attached a German version of Kues’ earlier article^[4], presenting its author as "der schwedische Forscher Thomas Kues" ("Swedish researcher Thomas Kues"). I replied to Graf that I had already commented the English version of his schwedische Forscher’s wisdom, and added a link to my blog. This may have created some waves in "Revisionist" cloud-cuckoo-land, eventually causing Kues to give in to his peers’ insistence.

Whatever Kues’ motivation was, let’s see what he’s got.

Nazi Propaganda Film from the Warsaw Ghetto (Revised and Updated Article)

A Nazi film crew, led by Willy Wist, shot over an hour of footage for a propaganda film in the Warsaw ghetto in May 1942. A summary of the scenes they filmed can be found here, along with Jonas Turkow's eyewitness account (from 1948) of why the film was shot. Out-takes from that film were found by Adrian Wood in 1998 and have been collated, along with the formal footage, into a documentary entitled A Film Unfinished. The documentary intersperses the footage with diary entries, such as those of Czerniakow and Lewin, which describe the staging and shooting of the film. It also re-enacts Wist's testimony from war crimes proceedings.

On 12.05.2011, Demjanjuk was sentenced to 5 years in prison.

On the very same day, "Revisionist" champion Thomas Kues, as was to be expected, wrote an indignant blog commenting this sentence.

On February 16th, 1943, Himmler ordered the razing of the Warsaw ghetto on the grounds that "we must achieve the disappearance from sight of the living-space for 500,000 sub-humans (Untermenschen) that has existed up to now". This order was probably issued whilst Himmler was in Lublin, according to documents cited by Gerlach in Kalkulierte Morde, p.572 note 430, reproduced in part by Dr Nick Terry here
